Family Dining At Eastbrook

Family dining is now established at Eastbrook and the children absolutely love it.

As part of our Character and Academics Curriculum, we have actively sought to introduce ‘service learning’ opportunities to our children. Service learning combines learning with community service. We strive to provide progressive learning experiences whilst meeting the needs of others- in school and the wider community.

One such example is Family Dining where our children are responsible for serving food to their peers and tidying up the dining hall. All our children sit and eat at the same time with peers from across the school. Each dining table is a ‘family’. Each day, the children have a different topic of conversation to discuss which were chosen by our School Council.
