Today was our special Autumn virtues day! Firstly, we looked at the virtue of ‘kindness’, we discussed what kindness was and how we can show kindness to others in our school. We wrote our ideas down on the flip chart. We thought of one kind act that we could do in school today for someone. Later on we discussed what acts of kindness we had seen in school today.
Next we discussed at the virtue of ‘caring’. We looked at images of the former Eastbrook school and made suggestions as to why the buildings were knocked down. We studied images of schools that had not been cared for and discussed why we would not like to be educated in those environments. We discussed what the good features of our school are and how we can make it even better!
To identify our strengths, we stuck pieces of paper onto each other’s backs and wrote down what people excel at. After a while, we took the paper off our backs and we were delighted to see what other people thought we were good at.
