Say Hello, Wave Goodbye

This is to update our parents about a few changes to leadership in the school from September.

After two extremely successful years with Eastbrook, Mr Campbell our Executive Headteacher is moving to the north of England to take on a new school leadership challenge. Parents and students will be acutely aware of the exceptional contribution he has made to the rapid improvement of our school. He has brought an incredible level of energy, insight, determination and expertise to his leadership and has helped us to get to an extremely strong position as recognised by Ofsted this year. I am sure all of the parents join me in thanking him for his contribution and wishing him well for the future.

As a result of Mr Campbell’s departure we welcome Jill Baker, who is looking forward to taking on the Executive Head’s role with us. Jill has worked in Barking and Dagenham previously and was more recently the very successful Head of George Green’s School in Tower Hamlets. She brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the post and everyone at Eastbrook is looking forward to working with her and collectively moving Eastbrook forward to even greater things. In addition we will also have Ges Smith, the retiring Head of Jo Richardson doing some supportive work with us to help us become the outstanding school we aspire to be.

So …. Goodbye, thank you and good luck to Mr Campbell

And … hello and welcome to Ms Baker
