Uni Day for Eastbrook Photographers!

Year 10 GCSE Photography students had an amazing opportunity to experience university life on a Visual Arts department workshop day, at the University of East London.

In the workshops, students were introduced to aspects of analogue (wet) photography including photo etching, printing and other photographic processes. They experimented with a range of techniques, learning new skills and helping them develop content for their portfolio. As you can see by these exceptional outcomes, the students worked hard and had a fantastic time. Mason in 10F said: “Thank you to Mr Nathan for taking us on this enlightening day. I wasn’t exactly sure what we were going to be doing in the workshops, as I have never experienced making art like this before. It was fascinating to see how we can make high quality prints from our photos.”

Students were also taken on a campus tour by a UEL ambassador and learnt all about student life, the range of qualifications they can choose from and the application process, including of course how to arrange their finances!

A big thank you to Tariq, Yashika, Karolina and Zoe from UEL, as well as Ms Pearson for accompanying us on the day.

Well done Eastbrook, we are PROUD!!
