After a very successful spell during the last academic year, the English Study Hub will return after half term.

Inspired by the University model, Year 11 students are invited to attend a fortnightly lecture or seminar. These are offered on a rota by members of the English Department, so students will benefit from the wisdom of the whole team!

We surveyed the year group regarding their preferred topics and poetry was often cited. So poetry it is! We will change the focus in the Spring term, so those requests for Jekyll and Hyde etc. aren’t being ignored.

The sessions will run on Wednesdays, Week B and will take place in the English Department area, Brook side. They will begin at 3.20pm and finish at 4pm.

Students will be given two PROUD points for attending each session – but the real motivation for attending is exam success.
