Year 9 – Religious Studies on Science and Religion

This term, our Year 9 begin their studies into Theme B: Religion, Science and Life. The first topic explored was the age old debate between Creationism, The Big Bang theory, Evolution and Intelligent Design. Students have also investigated other religious views about our creation and whether they contrast or complement existing scientific theories.

Our students have provided ample task to explore and study each of the major ideas about the reason why we exist and our roles on earth according to religions. They explored the role we have towards the environment, animal welfare and our own life and death.

Students have completed numerous exam practice questions, building on their formidable knowledge and skills to learn how to structure their answers effectively and coherently.
