Over the past fortnight Year 9 students have been learning how Maths relates to construction jobs, working with the Construction Youth Trust and industry volunteers looking at the importance of right angles to construction. Starting with a practical introduction to Pythagoras’ Theorem, students looked at 3-4-5 triangles where they could physically see principles in action before hearing about how Maths related to everyday jobs.

Students really engaged and enjoyed the activities, showing great skills in working together and impressing with the level of their work.
