Let’s Talk

Eastbrook girls in Year 9, 10 and 11 have been taking part in workshops aimed at raising awareness of women’s health issues. Brook is an organisation providing wellbeing and sexual health support for young people and throughout this year it has been running its’ “Let’s Talk Period” programme in our school.

The workshop sessions last 1-2 hours and provide insights into attitudes towards women’s health as well as allowing space to bust common myths and answer questions. The sessions have been interactive and engaging, with discussion of what are women’s issues surrounding health and wellbeing, and activities to educate our girls in the different types of services and products available to them.

The Eastbrook girls who participated in the programme reported that they enjoyed the session with facilitator Zoe and now feel much more prepared about the changes to come.
