It was disappointing to have to break the news about self isolation to Year 11 yesterday. They have been brilliant so far this year and have come back with an amazing amount of determination and purpose. We are determined not to lose that energy or the hard work they have put in so far, so from Thursday 24th they will be experiencing the same school day but in a different way, through ‘Live Teaching’. Their teachers will teach them at the usual scheduled times – including form at the start and end of the day – but this will be done via Microsoft Teams meetings that they will all be invited to. It is essential that all the students engage fully with this provision, there is no time to waste given the circumstances we now face. Students don’t have to wear uniform but must be dressed appropriately – see the full set of expectations for online learning via the link here Student guidance and expectations for online meetings
So could all of year 11 make sure they have the necessary login details, and get ready to start learning online through live teaching on Microsoft Teams. If you need your ‘show-my-homework’ reset, please try to get in touch with Ms Ellis EllisG@eastbrookschool.org
We look forward to seeing you all again in school in two weeks’ time.
