Girls PE head to the Copper Box

Monday 21st March saw 50 students from Year 7 to Year 11 head to the Copper Box to watch the Women’s Netball Super League game between London Pulse and Strathclyde Sirens. The trip was organised as an opportunity for our pupils to watch Elite level netball live. All the students involved in the trip were for representing the school at Netball or continuously showing exceptional effort within lessons.

The girls made sure everyone in the Copper Box knew they were there, by creating an amazing atmosphere and showing their support for London Pulse. It was a fantastic opportunity for the girls to see netball played at such a high level and to see the different skills they are taught in lesson actually being used on the netball court. There were comments throughout the came, where students were amazed and the skill level in the shooting and defending. There was rarely any shots that the shooters from either team missed.

All students involved were amazing throughout the trip and all the teachers involved were PROUD of them!

The Girls PE teachers are looking forward to taking students again next year!
