Following our hugely successful Year 11 Work Experience week, Eastbrook School has connected with Childcare Solution, a childcare provider in East London. Childcare Solution has trained and given work experience to 13 students, who will now be offered paid employment in their after-school and holiday schemes.

Here we can see our rising star Shakira Chebli hard at play in the provision. Shakira was the first student to sign up and be trained, and has since been involved in the planning and delivery of training to her peers.

Her passion, dedication and commitment has shone through in the short time she has been working with us. The staffing team is surprised by her maturity and willingness to input and make a difference within the setting. Shakira has been diligent in helping to develop our new Youth Leadership Programme and will then go on to help deliver it to her peers. We are so excited to have her on board for our 2021 Summer Programme.”

Head of Year Pastoral Ashley Morris added: “It was extremely rewarding to see Shakira in another environment helping children younger than herself. She has great leadership and communication qualities, which she is demonstrating in abundance!”
