Eastbrook supports Ukrainian pupils in a school in Poland

In March, the school raised more than £2000 towards supporting the Ukrainian refugees moving to schools in other countries.
Where is the money now?
We went to a school in a city in Poland which currently has 14 students from Ukraine. The name of the city is KIELCE and it is located in the central part of Poland.
The students and the head teacher could not believe that a school in London wanted to support them. They were all extremely happy and proud to be chosen by us! In return, they prepared a ‘THANK YOU’ poster and a special card to show how much our help means to them.
The money donated by us will be spent on all the necessary school equipment, school meals, trips and many more. In fact, they are already benefitting from our generous donation. Just copy the link below and scroll down to see how they are doing (mind you, the text is in Polish but if you scroll down, you will also see pictures from our visit).

All the Ukrainian pupils are currently staying with Polish families in private homes. Most of them do not speak Polish but are determined to learn it. Luckily for us, some of them speak English so it was quite easy for us to communicate.
Even though they feel safe in Poland, they are still very concerned about their future and do not know when it will be possible for them to return to their country.
