Calling all CREATIVE Year 11s! Study A Level GRAPHIC COMMUNICATION at Eastbrook!

The Visual Arts department is excited to announce that we are launching a brand new A Level course starting in September 2023!

Graphic Communication is an exciting medium that is used in many different ways to communicate a visual message through art and design. When you choose a book by its cover, a product because you have seen the advert, instantly recognise a company by its logo, or go to see a film or show after seeing a poster, then you are responding to visual messages. This is what Graphic Communication is all about. This course will teach you how to influence your audience through your own creative ability and will broaden your outlook on a global world. It will also give you high level transferable skills such as decision making, critical thinking, visual presentation, independent thought, self-analysis and communication that can be applied in any areas of future studies or career you choose to pursue.

With an A Level Graphics qualification, you can move onto a degree or vocational qualification studies in all creative disciplines. You will open up career pathways including art, graphic design, media, journalism, fashion and jewellery design, architecture, new and social media, film and television production and many more! Eastbrook School Visual Arts department has established links with London and South East based universities, local and national cultural organisations and will provide students with industry work experience.

So if this sounds like something you are interested in, come and talk to us in the department. We hope to see you soon!
