Black Excellence meets Brixton Soup Kitchen

Last week, a group of 22 Eastbrook students had the amazing opportunity to visit Brixton Soup Kitchen, a charitable organisation that donates clothes as well as gives hot food to people in the local community.  Students took part in fundraising for BSK in the streets of Brixton, raising more than £40 in the space of 45 minutes for a good cause.  Fundraising efforts included dancing, speaking with the general public and promoting the values and vision of Brixton Soup Kitchen.

The Black Excellence Team (Ms Basir, Ms Morson, Mr Glanville and Mr Onwuejeogwu) are super PROUD of the hard work that the students put in to raise money for a charitable cause, and would like to say a special thank you to Micah and Solomon at BSK (https://www.instagram.com/brixtonsoupkitchen)  for their support and for the amazing work they do for their local community, and for raising awareness about Brixton history and the kitchen’s Afro-Caribbean origins.
