To ensure the safety of our school community, and in line with the guidance from the Department for Education, we will be testing students in January before they return to school. We will do this through a phased process as summarised below. Can I ask that all students and parents to fully engage with this process – it is becoming increasingly clear that Covid remains a big concern to everyone, and we owe it to each other to do all we can to minimise the spread of the virus.

N.B. In addition to these tests, all students should complete a lateral flow test on Sunday 9th and then every Wednesday and Sunday until further notice.  

Tests will take place in the Library canteen area.

Year 11

Come to school and test between 1.30 and 3.00 on Wednesday 5th January. Students will go home immediately after testing. They will then attend school from 11.00 a.m. on Thursday and from 8.40 on Friday and attend normal lessons. They will leave school at 1.25 p.m. on Friday

Year 10

Come in to school and test between 12.30 and 1.25 on Friday 7th January. Students will go home immediately after testing. They will then attend school as normal on Monday 10th January

Year 9

Come in to school and test between 11.30 and 12.30 on Friday 7th January. Students will go home immediately after testing. They will then attend school as normal on Monday 10th January

Year 8

Come in to school and test between 10.00 and 11.00 on Friday 7th January. Students will go home immediately after testing. They will then attend school as normal on Monday 10th January

Year 7

Come in to school and test between 9.00 and 10.00 on Friday 7th January. Students will go home immediately after testing. They will then attend school as normal on Monday 10th January

Students must arrive at school between the allotted times and go straight home after testing. They must not congregate in groups outside the school or in the local area.
