In November, Eastbrook School participated in the Anti-Bullying Month awareness campaign in which students and staff denounced bullying and declared Eastbrook to be a safe space to all students. Many students learned about anti-bullying in their forms and during their ECS lessons, including the importance of kindness, tolerance and friendship.
Anti-Bullying Month was an important time for our school to focus on the well-being of our students and in driving home the message that Eastbrook School is a caring and safe environment where bullying is not accepted.
Many staff and students participated in Odd-Socks Day on the 12th of November in support and awareness for tolerance and kindness. There were a variety of odd and weird socks to symbolise the diversity of students in Eastbrook School and raise awareness against bullying.
Additionally, many of our students participated in the Anti-Bullying Month poster competition in which 4 finalists were selected.
The winners were:
Fatimah Hamayun – 10 A
Ronaldinio Mihai – 8I
Maham Jahangir – 7E
Angelina Auchombit – 7D
Congratulation to our winners who received a Certificate of Appreciation and £10 Amazon voucher.
On behalf of Eastbrook School and the ECS department, we want to take the time to thank all our students and parents in supporting anti-bullying at Eastbrook. The Eastbrook motto is “Together We Learn” which also includes always being kind and caring towards our peers and colleagues.
