Washing Woolly Mammoths!

During year three’s English lesson today we read the book, ‘How to Wash a Woolly Mammoth’. The children really enjoyed reading the funny book and could not wait to wash some of our cuddly toys from the book corner. The children followed the steps from the woolly mammoth book to carefully wash their own animal.

Later on in the classroom, the children were able to write a set of instructions for washing a woolly mammoth after they had performed this task on a toy. The pupils were able to use imperative verbs, sub-heading and write in clear sentences. The finished sets of instructions were very informative and if you ever wondered how to wash a woolly mammoth, well pop into year three and the children there will tell you!
