In English this week, Year 5 have been exploring the internal world of the character Jim. They have discussed with a partner, and as a class, the reasons why Jim should escape the workhouse and the reasons why he should not. Pupils particpated in a conscience alley and were able to consider the differing viewpoints the character may hold. They also justified their opinions using textual based evidence.
