They Call Me The Easter Bunny

The children in Reception sat down ready for their English lesson on Thursday morning to discover a letter left by their new friend, the Easter bunny. The note explained that they had to work in groups to find six of the same coloured egg hidden outside. Inside the eggs were puzzle pieces, which when put together revealed the secret location of the Easter treats.

The children ran with excitement to their outside classroom to start the hunt, they searched to find the six eggs, some berried in the planting patch, some hidden inside the story book hut and the rest carefully placed all around. They pieced together the puzzle to uncover the message. The children were able to read the note without any adult support, showing off their Phonic development when reading and recognising special friends.
