Year 4 have had an amazing week as we began reading our new text, The Iron Man by Hughes. We had oodles of fun while exploring the figurative which gave us an insight into the Iron Man’s questionable decisions in the first chapter. We were also able to discuss and justify our opinions around the question, ‘Why was he standing at the brink of the cliff?’ As part of our learning, we were set the challenge of designing our own Iron Man. Sadly, the last thing we learnt about the Iron Man is he on the hunt for his missing ear which he believes the sea has taken.  We are hoping that he has been able to find his missing ear and that he has returned safely to land.
