Tate Britain

Years 3, 4 and 5 visited Tate Britain art gallery today. Pupils visited the Steve McQueen exhibition and viewed a portrait of the present Year 4 pupils, taken when they were in Year 3. This was part of a larger project and over 3000 photographs of Year 3 pupils were on display in the gallery. They took part in a workshop too, focusing on their own identity. There was time afterwards to explore the gallery and view sculptures created by Henry Moore, art by David Hockney and Turner. The children were thoroughly well behaved and showed great interest and appreciation for the art work.
