Successful Sporting Day!

Year 6 had a fun filled day of sporting activities in the glorious sunshine today!

Firstly, they went to Becontree swimming pool for their intensive swimming lesson. Pupils had fun in the refreshing water, practicing their strokes, refining their techniques and having a splashing good time. All too soon it was time to get out!

Next, they walked to Central Park for a picnic lunch, in the shade of the trees. After lunch there was time for a quick wizz down the zip-line and sometime in the playground! Pupils worked together to push each other on the swings, spin their friends on the roundabout and help each other on the zip-line.

The next stop was Crowlands Gold Centre… Mrs. Nicholas had organised a mini-golf tournament. Pupils were divided into 4 teams and had 6 short golf games to participate in. In each game, there were points for accuracy of shot, techniques and then points were calculated to decide on the winning team. There was a little bit of point manipulation from Mr. Pascall’s team, however everyone gained a medal and had a lot of fun! Sports leaders from Eastbrook secondary school ran the team games for the primary pupils and there was a competitive yet enjoyable atmosphere.

Finally, it was time for the pupils to haul their weary legs back to school after a superb day of sporting fun!
