Pupils in Year Three have been reading the book ‘Oliver and the Seawigs’ during their English lessons this week. The story is an adventure story and the pupils are really enjoying the book so far …

Oliver (the main character) is travelling on a moving island to the Seawig comepetion, in an effort to find his missing parents. A Seawig is a moving island with a magnificent wig containing items that have been lost at sea, eg. a ship, a submarine, treasure chest etc. Pupils in Year Three have designed their own Seawig islands in class today, during the week they will be describing the islands and then ‘selling holidays’ on their islands to another class!
