May the force be with you!

This week in year 4 we have been learning about forces and the effect that a force can have on an object. In order to gain a better understanding of how forces work, we used the paper plane to test what we thought we knew. Thankfully, it was a fairly windy day because the wind needed to play a significant part. Firstly, we launched our paper planes against the wind and the force of the wind was able to push it back towards us, this meant however, that our planes came crashing down to the ground. We then, threw our paper plane in the sane direction the wind was travelling in. We were able to effectively use the force of the wind to push our aircrafts upward into the Dagenham sky. Who thought paper planes could be such an amazing scientific tool!
