This week in Year 4, we have been using our newly gained knowledge of electricity to create a closed circuit. We gathered the necessary components: a bulb, a bulb holder, a pair of crocodile clips, a cell and a cell holder to create our circuit. We worked very diligently and displayed oodles of teamwork to complete this task. The children we extremely excited and they were overjoyed went their circuits were completed and their bulbs glowed brightly. We also used our problem solving skills to ascertain why our bulbs did not glow – it was usually because our circuits were opened rather than closed. We will continue to learn and explore the power of electricity over the coming weeks.
