In Year 4, we have had an exciting experience with pasta, salt, rice, green lentils and coco-pops!  This interesting list of items were used by the children to bring their Science learning to life. We used these materials to recreate our version of sedimentary rocks. We were able to discuss the process of sedimentation which would have ordinarily taken thousands of year to occur.  The materials used were able to reinforce the appearance of the the rocks which is easily recognisable by the different strata within it. The children were extremely proud of their sedimentary rocks and could not wait to share their learning with their families.
