Year 1 received an extra special visitor this afternoon- Emma from the Essex Wildlife Trust who came along to accept the donation made through the sales of the ‘Pebble Pets’.  Whilst she was here, the children filled her in on all of the recent learning they had been doing about how they could have a positive impact on their local environment and care for local wildlife. She reciprocated by answering lots of  very curious and thought provoking questions about her job. She also very kindly gifted the children a very precious book as a keepsake from the Essex Wildlife Trust, entitled ‘The Lost Words’ by Robert Macfarlane. Year 1 now highly recommend it!
