Eastbrookend Country Park Educational Visit

The children in Reception had their first educational visit to their local Eastbrookend Country park. Before they left the children spend some time going over road safety as they would be walking near a busy road, having to cross on zebra crossing and having to safety get on and off the bus. They showed maturity and sensible feet as they travel together to the park.

Once they had made the great journey there, they focus was drawn to the changing of the seasons, they were given a tick list of autumnal objects to look out for. They set of on their autumn hunt finding a mix of different colour leaves but sadly no conkers or acorns yet! After lunch the children had the task to complete an observational drawing of the landscape and the trees they could see around them, along with a few beautiful leaf rubbings.

It was a very successful educational visit as they children really got to use their road safety learning and discovered new wonderful places in their local area!
