The children and staff of Eastbrook Primary School showed their support for Anti-Bullying Week 2022 by wearing their odd socks to school today. The true meaning behind wearing our odd socks was to highlight that every single person is unique. No two people are identical, which is a massive cause for celebration. So why should our socks be? The children now fully understand that odd socks have exactly the same purpose and worth as a pair of matching socks.
Taking on the Anti-Bullying Alliance’s theme of ‘Reach Out’, the children of Eastbrook have been reminded that whether it’s in school, at home, in the community or online, we should all reach out and show each other the support we need. Reach out to someone you trust if you need to talk. Reach out to someone you know is being bullied. Reach out and consider a new approach.
