A Science search…

Pupils in year three have been learning to classify living things during their Science lessons this term.  They used the anacronym, MRS. GREN (movement, respiration, sensitivity, growth, reproduction, excretion and nutrition)  to determine if something was living or not. Pupils made colourful posters, describing what all living things do.

They also went on a search both at home and in school to see what living things they could find! One inquisitive child dug up some worms from the garden and showed the wiggling creatures to the camera, amid lots of squeals from the audience! Children also found grandmas, brothers, sisters, plants, spiders, cats, chickens and rabbits that were all alive. A great afternoon of learning from the eager scientists in year three!
