A Day to Treasure

Pupils in year three visited the British Museum, in central London today.  They viewed the Egyptian galleries to support their current  history topic of Ancient Egypt.

The pupils marvelled at the mummies, they were astonished at some of the detailed art and jewellry and  they were impressed by the sheer scale of some of the sculptures. The highlight for many pupils were the carefully preservered mummies of crocodiles, cats, bulls and even a fish! The viewing of primary evidence left the children better informed about this period of time in history.

The behaviour of the pupils was exemplary and museum staff commented on how well behaved eastbrook pupils were.
