In Year Four, during our Computing lesson we have been learning about tessellations. Before we began, we created our very own tessellation patterns using isomeric paper. After this exploration, we were able to transfer our skills to the Tessellation Artist to create our own tessellation patterns. One of the challenges of creating a tessellation pattern is ensuring that the sides of the shape touch and the pattern is repeated. The children were able to create several patterns that reflected the criteria of a tessellation.
