To support the children’s learning of the local area, Year Two had a visit from a STEM Ambassador, Nicholas Burnell. Nicholas Burnell was a senior engineer at Ford in Dagenham and spoke to the children about what an engineer is, what it was like to work at the factory and to inspire the potential future of young engineers. The children found out how the cars made at Ford had changed over time, how cars were made in the past and present and how the Ford factory impacted the local community.
